|
Terry the Turtle and Cleo Clownfish.
Cleo wants to go to the concert to see Miley Starfish.
In the morning before lunch.
This narrative story takes place at the bottom of the ocean in Bikini Bottom at a high school.
|
Problem
What is the cause of the problem?
What are the characters doing? Have you describe their feelings?
Include language features to support key ideas.
Include some engaging dialogue in your story.
|
The cause of this problem is that Cleo wants to ditch school and go to Miley Starfish’s concert.
Cleo the Clown Fish is feeling excited and happy because she wants to go to Miley Starfish’s concert, Terry the turtle is feeling upset because he doesn't want Cleo to go to the Miley Starfish concert he wants her to stay at school and make the right choice.
Cleo sneaks out of school anyway, leaving Terry behind wondering why she is going. He feels sad and doesn’t know whether to tell his teacher or not. He doesn’t want to tell on his best friend but he doesn’t want to see her get into even bigger trouble if she gets caught.
He slowly walks to his classroom deciding he has to tell an adult, when all of a sudden, Cleo slaps him on the shell, smiling. Terry is surprised to see her and she tells him that he was right and she can’t ditch school, she doesn’t want to disappoint her family.
They walk into class together still being the best of best friends.
|
Solution
How is this problem solved?
|
The problem is solved by Cleo the Clown Fish coming back to school and not going to Miley Starfish’s concert she wants to wait until she is older, Terry is happy that she came to the right decision and stayed at school.

Poem
A Day at the Beach
By Kraven
A day at the beach.
My feet runs through the sand,
wet, watery, weird.
The waves crashing on the children.
They scream with happiness.
The seaweed, floating around in the water.
The foam,
far out at sea in the deep waters,
like icebergs floating on the waves.
White shells, with water crashing through it,
swim in the waves,
smash on the sand.
A huge fish on my fishing rod.
Burgers running down my throat, from the BBQ.
My mum cooking smoked eel with potato salad.
The peach sponge with ice cream waits,
ready for after our lunch.
My family is having fun in the water.
Jumping in the water,
I feel cold, brisk, bleak.
l can smell gas dripping from the car exhaust pipe.
Is this what we are breathing?
Is this making our fish rotten?
Is it killing them?
Sea water slowly cruising onto the land
Seagulls chirping in the air around us,
looking for some food.
A day at the beach.
This is my poem about the sea

ANZAC Cloze Task
Anzac Day - Cloze Task
Most Anzac day services begin with a march of returned service personnel
wearing their medals, and marching behind banners and standards. The
veterans are joined by other community groups, including members
of and the armed forces, the Red Cross, cadets etc.
The march continues to the local war memorial, where a service takes place.
This includes the laying of wreaths and various organisations and members of
the public. Flowers have traditionally been laid on graves and memorials in
memory of the Died. Laurel and rosemary are often used
in wreaths. Laurel was used by the ancient Romans as a symbol of honour
and was woven by a wreath to crown victors or the brave. Rosemary is used
in remembrance. The wreaths are laid to honour the people that have died
fighting for New Zealand.
The poppy has become the symbol of Anzac Day. The Flanders poppy as it is
red called grew in the trenches and craters of it war zone in Belgium and
at Gallipoli. These poppies grew wild in the spring. The soldiers thought of the
poppies as soldiers who had Died . The poppy was Mostly famous by Colonel
J.M. McCrae's poem poppies in Flanders' Fields. Poppies are sold on the Anzac day
before Anzac Day to raise money for the R.S.A. [Returned Services Association]
In most ceremonies of remembrance there is a reading of a poem. This is
often "The Ode to the Fallen" by Laurence Binyon. It was first published in
the Times newspaper in 1914.
They shall not grow old as we that are people grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going light of the sun and in the morning.
We will remember them.
The last post is the trumpet call sounded in army barracks at 10pm at
night to mark the end of the days activities. It is also played at military
funerals and commemorative services to show remembrance to the soldier's day has
drawn to a final close.
This is usually followed by a period of silence for one or two minutes as a sign
of respect for those for have died. After observing the silence the flags are
raised from half-mast to the masthead. The Rouse is then played. The Rouse
called the soldier's spirits to arise and fight for another day.
The Reveille is played at the dawn services instead of the Rouse. The Reveille is
played only for the first call in the morning It woke the soldiers up at
dawn.
Often hymns are sung and speeches made. The important part of the ceremony
is to remember those who died.
This task is about all the people that in Turkey war and the remembrance to the people that past on.
